Steam has F12018 for $24. Since I hear Santa is bringing me an Thrustmaster TX for Christmas, I’ll go ahead and pickup F12018 a few days early. After playing through F12016 and F12017 on an Xbox One and controller, I’m looking forward to F12018 on a capable PC and wheel set up.

In related news, I’m off work until the 8th, so I’ll have some time to mess around with this. I might have to pick up Project Cars 2, also. Other plans for the break are a four or five days in Albuquerque with the family, bringing my Dad’s miata back down with me for timing belt job, tune up and maybe a good Svending and doing a bit of stucco repair on the parapets around the garage. I’m intentionally not working on another room inside the house over the break as houselopnik project. We’ll probably start that up again later in January with the living and dining room area.

Just started using a wheel/pedal box with F1 2018, it’s a blast. I appreciate the level of control they give you regarding the feedback, controls, and calibration.

We just finished season 1, S2 will start in about 2 months so you have lots of time to practice :) you can still join us on discord and in the server for just casual racing tho

It’sa clean racing league fyi, called WRL hosted by a guy called Got_ur_Sixx. You can find him on twitch.

my steam is always on when the pc is on... but most of the time im not gaming.. or its the missus thats on... just so you know

how good is everyone gonna be in that league?... im mediocre at the best of times... a solid midfielder normally.... but if you lot are proper serious racers... ill probably lag behind for sometime :p

Asset to is a must own. The base game and DLC is solid and modding really fills it out.

We have the fastest guys on the leaderboard (without wallriding): spaceface, hoppen, Xi, etc. They are in the top 5 usually on the world leaderboards.

But we also have slow guys like me who are in the top 100 somewhere.

I improved quite a lot racing with these guys tho. Most of them are helpful with setups, lines and general driving.

Ooh and its a team based league, so we have people to talk to during the league races to help with setups and random shittalking:)

Assetto is much better than f1 2016 imo. Idk about the 2018.

Assetto is much more "linear" wrt FFB

iracing is fun but you need to be able to put in the time in order to justify the monthly cost. I have had fun with it in the breif periods my subscription has been active but haven’t had the available time to justify a subscription.
